Enable or Disable StarMaster

StarMaster is a classroom leaderboard that ranks students based on the number of stars they earn by completing activities in Matific.

It creates a sense of friendly competition by showing students how they are progressing compared to their classmates.

Why Manage StarMaster?

You may choose to enable or disable StarMaster to:

  • Encourage motivation through friendly competition
  • Promote consistent engagement with activities
  • Reduce distractions if competition is not suitable for your class

💡 StarMaster resets every week, giving all students a fresh chance to climb the leaderboard.

How to Enable or Disable StarMaster

  1. Go to Class Management
  2. Select your class
  3. Click the More options (...) button and click Manage Class Details
  4. Click Advanced Settings
  5. Under the General tab locate the StarMaster Student Leaderboard option
  6. Toggle it On or Off
  7. Click Save
Enable or disable star master.gif

💡If you want to hide the student names in the leaderboard instead, toggle the Anonymise Student Names option.
