How is the Placement Test Designed?

The main features of the placement test are as follows:

1. Arithmetic questions designed to assess the mathematical ability of students:

   

2. Students can choose to take a break from the test and return to it by following these steps:

  • Click on dropdown in the top-right corner:
  • Click on cross icon on the right side of the dropdown:
  • A confirmation popup will open with two options: EXIT and CONTINUE TRAINING:
  • Clicking on EXIT will ensure that the student is returned to the home page:
  • If the student clicks on EXIT and is returned to the home page, they can click on Adventure Island, which will lead to the following prompt being displayed:

         The prompt above explains that the student will be unable to attempt challenges in Adventure                     Island as they have not completed the placement test.

  • The student can click on CONTINUE in the prompt, which will lead to the following popup with two options being displayed: Start Over and Continue:
  • If the student clicks on Continue, they will be returned to the point in the placement test they left off, before taking a break:
  • If the student clicks on Start Over, the placement test will be reset:

3. There are voice overs for each question in the placement test, ensuring that the question is read out        aloud for students:

  • To access the voice over the student needs to click on the speech icon to the left of the question:
  • The student can disable the voice over for the test via the dropdown on the top-right corner:

4. The student can choose to skip questions they are unable to answer:

   

5. After successful completion of the placement test, the student will be awarded a pilot certificate              allowing them to explore Adventure Island:
