Getting Started with Financial Literacy

We’re excited to introduce Financial Literacy in Matific!

Our Financial Literacy course helps students build real world financial skills — from making smart spending choices to weighing trade-offs, planning ahead, using digital banking safely, and more.

With comprehensive teaching guides, discussion-based workshops, and engaging student activities, we provide you with the tools you need to help students develop healthy financial habits and make informed financial decisions with confidence.


Who Can Access Financial Literacy?

Financial Literacy is now available in all regions.
To get access, contact your school administrator or reach out to support@matific.com to start preparing your students for their financial future.


About the Financial Literacy Subject

Recommended for Grades 4–9 and above, the course includes 15+ structured units covering essential financial topics such as budgeting, digital banking, credit cards, loans, cybersecurity, and more.

Each unit is designed to support both students and teachers, and includes:

  • Engaging student activities
    Story-driven, interactive activities that keep students engaged while showing how financial skills connect to everyday life.

  • Teacher-led activities
    Discussion-based lessons and classroom activities that encourage critical thinking, reflection, and real-world application.

Workshops Classroom Discussions

Interactive, teacher-led activities designed to be presented live to the whole class. They allow you to demonstrate concepts, explore scenarios together, and guide students through open-ended questions.

Classroom Discussion activities are built to spark meaningful conversations around complex financial situations. With guided prompts and open-ended questions, you can lead discussions on topics like budgeting, credit cards, financial choices, and more.

  • Teacher guides
    Teacher-led activities comes with a downloadable Teacher Guide designed to support classroom delivery.
    These guides include:

    • Clear learning objectives

    • Real-life scenarios and discussion prompts

    • Step-by-step teaching suggestions

    • Example questions and model answers

    • Practical tips to support student understanding

Get Your Students Started with Financial Literacy

Once Financial Literacy has been enabled for your school, you can activate it for individual classes in just a few steps.

💡We recommend Financial Literacy for Grades 4 and above.

To Enable Financial Literacy for a Class:

  1. In the side navigation bar, go to Class Management.

  2. Select the class you would like to enable Financial Literacy.

  3. Open more options (...), click Manage Class Details.

  4. Expand the Subjects tab and enable Financial Literacy.

Students in that class will see Financial Literacy the next time they log in.
