The Training Zone is where you can practise maths, explore activities, and work on skills at your own pace.
There are two ways to explore activities in the Training Zone:
Skill Builder – choose a skill or topic you want to practise, then choose an activity.
Collections – discover activities selected for different purposes, including activities recommended for you, activities you've played before, and activities to help you practise.
You can switch between Collections and Skill Builder whenever you want.
Skill Builder
Skill Builder lets you choose what you want to practise.
You can:
Browse available skills and topics.
Adjust the difficulty to make activities easier or more challenging.
Choose a skill or topic to practise.
Select an activity and start playing.
Skill Builder is useful when you know what you want to practise.
Collections
Collections help you discover activities when you're not sure what to play next.
Collections group activities together for different purposes. Some are personalized based on your learning and activity history, while others help you discover new activities or return to activities you've played before.
As you learn and play more activities, the activities in your Collections can change.
What Collections Are Available?
When you enter Training Zone, you will find the following collections:
Recommended for You - Activities recommended based on your learning, including relevant Focus Activities.
Close to Mastery - Activities to help you practise skills you're close to mastering.
Sharpen Your Skills - Activities to help you strengthen your skills.
Your Favourites - Activities you've marked as favourites.
Replay Your Recently Played - Activities you've played recently.
Matific Favourites - Activities selected by Matific for you to discover and enjoy.
Topic Spotlight - Activities from a featured mathematics topic.
How to Access Collections?
To explore Collections:
Log in to Matific.
Open Training Zone.
Collections are selected by default.
Browse the available Collections.
Scroll through a Collection to find an activity.
Select an activity to start playing.
How to Access Skill Builder?
To practise a specific skill or topic:
Open Training Zone.
Select Skill Builder.
Browse the available skills or topics.
Select what you want to practise.
Choose an activity and start playing.
You can switch back to Collections whenever you want to discover something different.
Which Should You Use?
Both options help you practise and explore Matific in different ways:
Use Collections when:
You want Matific to help you discover something useful, interesting, or fun to play.
Use Skill Builder when:
You know the skill or topic you want to practise and want to choose an activity yourself.
Do All Students See the Same Collections?
Not necessarily.
Some Collections are personalized based on your learning and activity history, so the activities you see may be different from those shown to your classmates.
Other Collections, such as Your Favourites and Replay Your Recently Played, are based on the activities you've chosen or played.
