StarMaster - Introduction

1. What is StarMaster?

  • The feature is represented by a golden star icon on the left-hand side corner of their Student View:

  • Please note this feature will be enabled for your students by default, after it is made available in your region.
  • Any options to configure the feature as a teacher will be present as well.

2. Who is it for?

  • Teacher:
    • As a teacher, you have several options to configure this leaderboard as per your requirements
  • Student:
    • The students in a particular class that is taught by you, will be ranked by the number of stars they have collected in Matific and their rankings will be displayed on this leaderboard.

3. How does it work?

  • Every time a student completes an activity in any part of Matific, they earn stars based on their performance within that activity.
  • The student will be placed on the leaderboard depending on the number of stars they have collected.
  • Students can see their rank and compare their progress on a leaderboard that is updated in real-time:

  • The top three students each week will be awarded a crown that is collected in the Achievements section of their Adventure Book:

  • At the end of the week, the number of stars earned by the students is reset along with the leaderboard itself.

4. What can I do as a teacher?

  • As a teacher, you can control StarMaster in two ways:

                                      (Rima Gib's Student View)

                                      (Medu Beyo's Student View)
