How Can I Set a Focus Topic for My Child?

Do you feel your child can improve on certain areas when it comes to their mathematics journey?

Matific is here to help you with that!

To get started:

  1. Log in to your Matific Parent account.

  2. Once you are logged in, the dashboard can be viewed as follows:

  3. The first block with the blue outline will enable you to select a particular topic for your child to focus on:

  4. Within this block, click on the link-Set a topic to focus on:

  5. This will unveil a pop-up with two configurations:

    • Available list of focus topics:

The available list of focus topics is arranged in a grid format within the popup.
Selecting one ensures that your child will face activities in Matific related to the focus topic (Example: If you select Geometry, your child will be given activities related to it in Adventure Island, Arena and Training Zone).

    • View focus topics by grade:

The list of available focus topics differs between grades.
You can click on the dropdown within the popup to select a particular grade and view the relevant focus topics.

  6. Once the focus topic has been set, you have three configurations:

    • Edit focus topic:

You can click on the Edit button within the blue container of the block, to change the focus topic.

    • Remove focus topic:

You can click on the Remove button within the container to remove the focus topic that has been set for your child.

    • Monitor your child’s Skill Performance:

You can click on the graph icon within the container to be redirected to the Skill Performance section, where you can view your child’s average score for the relevant topic of focus.

  7. The default duration of the focus topic is for two weeks, starting from the date you set it.
Let's assume, I set a focus topic on 17th April, the end date will be 1st May.
The end date can be viewed as follows:

Please note, as of now, you cannot change the focus topic duration.
