💡General Questions
1. What impact does rollover have on students?
- A student's learning level is automatically set to match their new class grade after rollover (i.e. If a student advances to grade 3, while their learning level is grade 2, the level will be updated to grade 3)
- Adventure Island resets for the new academic year.
- Assigned work is no longer visible, unless your school uses Core Work.
2. Will students lose their activity progress or achievements?
- No. Students keep all their achievements and completed activities.
- Adventure Island is reset for the new academic year. However, past performance data is retained to guide personalized activity recommendations.
3. Will students keep their coins, avatar, and avatar name?
- Yes. All coins, avatars, and avatar names are retained.
4. Will students use the same login cards after rollover?
- Yes. Students can continue using their existing login cards.
5. What data is kept after rollover?
- All student performance data is retained.
- Reports are refreshed for the new academic year.
- If you want to view last year’s data, use the time filters in reports.
- Retaining performance data helps algorithms recommend the right activities for each student based on their learning gaps.
6. Can teachers view student reports from the previous academic year?
- Yes, but only from AI reports. Student analytics from the previous academic year is only accessible in the AI reports. Other reports will only display data from the current academic year as they are filtered by the current class year.
7. How can the Matific Support team assist with the school rollover?
- Log in as a school administrator and go to Class Management > Manage All Classes.
Click Add a Class, select Add with CSV Template, and download the rollover roster template. -
Complete the template exactly as instructed, then email the CSV file to support@matific.com. Our team will process the rollover and notify you once it’s complete.

8. What details need to be provided to the Matific Support team to assist with the school rollover?
The rollover roster CSV downloaded by the school administrator contains all current student details.

Existing students: One student per row. Provide the following mandatory details for the new class in the upcoming academic year:
- New Class Name
- New Year Level
- New Teacher Email
- New Teacher First Name
- New Teacher Last Name
Students not continuing with Matific? Type 'DELETE' under “New Class Name.”
| Do not delete your students manually before starting the rollover process as they will not be included in the CSV file and their progress will be lost. |

New students: Add a new row for each, filling in the following columns:Student Username (optional)
- Student Password (optional)
- Student First Name (mandatory)
- Student Last Name (mandatory)
- Former Class (mandatory)
